Introduction

These terms and conditions govern your use of our website.  By using our website, you are acknowledging that you have read, understood, and agree, to be bound by these terms and to comply with all applicable laws and regulations.  If you do not agree to these terms, please don’t use this website.

You must be at least 16 years of age to use our website.  By using our website and by agreeing to these terms and conditions you warrant and represent that you are at least 16 years of age.

Our website uses cookies.  By using our website and agreeing to these terms and conditions, you consent to our use of cookies in accordance with the terms of our privacy policy.

Ordering Process

Simply browse through our products and make your selections, then when you’re finished shopping, click on “view cart” and follow the very simple steps to complete your order. 

Payment

We accept payment safely online with your credit or debit card through Sage Pay.  We accept all major debit and credit cards (excluding American Express – sorry!)

Telephone Orders

As with our online ordering system, once you have completed your telephone order, you will receive a confirmation email from us.  Please check all the information contained in the email to ensure that you are completely happy with your purchase.  Any input errors in your order should be notified to us immediately by telephone.  We cannot accept responsibility for wrongly ordered or entered goods after delivery.

Shipping and Delivery Charges

UK Mainland (excludes some parts of Scotland) as follows, usually within 24 hours:-

Goods with a weight of less than 1KG                  £2.99

Goods with a weight of between 1KG and 5KG      £6.99

Goods with a weight of 5KG or above                   £10.99

We have reserved the right to specify a a higher weight category for orders of awkward, long or bulky items where we will incur extra carriage charges.

For the Channel Islands, some parts of Scotland, the Isle of Man and the Isle of Wight please contact us for prices.

Items in stock, ordered before 2pm, will normally be dispatched on the day of purchase.  Please note that we don’t have a live stock system and so if you are in a hurry for an item we recommend that you give us a call first to check stock levels.  Equally if you need a delivery in a hurry, for example before 9 am, 10 am or 12 pm the next day or a Saturday delivery please call us and we’ll do everything we can to achieve this for you (there may be a surcharge applicable).

 

Most UK Mainland deliveries are sent by 24 hour postage or courier (excludes weekends and bank/public holidays).   We rely on third parties for our delivery so we can’t guarantee or be held responsible for deliveries that fail to reach their destination in the expected time.

If you’ve paid extra for a special delivery and these terms are not met we will of course refund you those extra charges.

Our courier will attempt to deliver your goods to you twice.  If you are out on both occasions and it is not deemed safe to leave your goods with a third party then the goods will be returned to ourselves as undelivered.  There may then be extra charges to pay should you wish the goods to be re-delivered to you.

If goods have been damaged in transit then please contact us and we will arrange to exchange these for you.  If the packaging of your goods is damaged please write “packaging damaged” next to your signature.  If your goods are returned to us as damaged but turn out to be undamaged then a return postage charge may be incurred.

Packaging

We will always package your goods securely to ensure that they reach you in tip top condition.

Returns, Refunds, Substitutes and Cancellation of Orders

If you aren’t completely satisfied with the goods sent to you, please let us know in writing either by letter or email (please see our contact details above) within 7 working days after receiving your goods.  You will be issued with a returns number.  Please write your returns number on the outside of your parcel and enclose a copy of your invoice with your returned goods.  Any parcels received that don’t have a returns number clearly written on the outside will remain unopened.

Returned items that aren’t faulty or damaged in transit to you must be returned in an as new and unused condition.  Returns authorisations are only valid for 14 days from issue.

If you wish to cancel an order that hasn’t already been dispatched please send us an email confirming the cancellation.  Please make sure that the email contains your A1 Digital order number and your full name and delivery address.  Orders may not be cancelled without this confirmation email.

We unfortunately won’t be able to refund you any carriage costs on cancelled orders if we don’t receive a confirmation email before it is dispatched or unwanted goods where carriage costs have been incurred by us.

If non-faulty returns are not in an as new condition they will be returned the customer after the customer has paid for return carriage.   A refund of the cost of the goods will only be authorised after our returns department has carried out a full inspection for correctness and complete product return.

We will refund all carriage costs if your goods arrive damaged due to our negligence, if they are faulty or if we have sent you the wrong item.  We can’t refund carriage costs for any other circumstances.

Items lost or damaged in the post are insured and we will refund/replace and claim from the relevant postal/courier service should this be necessary.

We can not accept that an item is lost in transit until after 15 working days has elapsed from the day after sending.  Incorrectly or insufficiently addressed items where the delivery address has been supplied by the customer, that go missing in transit or are returned to us undelivered will not be compensated for.  Where free delivery applies, returns may incur a delivery charge and this may be deducted from any refund.

Refunds will be issued within 21 days.

All items are supplied with a 12 month warranty (other than Oyster satellite systems which come with a 36 month warranty).  All warranty items are to be returned to base by the customer.  If testing proves the goods to be faulty then we will repair any defect that arises due to faulty materials or workmanship free of charge, of replace the goods.  The warranty on the replacement product will continuously run from the original purchase date of the original item purchased.  The warranty will be invalid if faults arise as a result of negligence, item is incorrectly installed or used, tampered with or altered in any way.  Any claims made under the terms of the warranty should be supported by the original invoice issued at the time of purchase. 

For goods sold outside UK Mainland postcodes the customer shall be liable for all extra carriage costs when returning items for testing or repair and for the return carriage costs.

Should the worst happen and we have to substitute your item with an alternative product, the product sent shall fulfil exactly the same role as the product ordered, and be of the same quality, similar value and cosmetically very similar and if the product is very different cosmetically we will only send a substitute item where the appearance is irrelevant to the product’s use.  Where the product is of less value we will refund the difference and if of higher value there will be no additional charges applied.

Special Order Items

Certain items (eg. lengths of cable cut to order, and special order items) are not returnable unless faulty or at our discretion.  In those circumstances where we use our discretion to accept an item back a re-stocking fee may be charged.  If you would like to find out more before you place your order please contact us to discuss.

Unless otherwise stated, we or our licensors own the intellectual property rights in the website and material on the website.  Subject to the licence below, all these intellectual property rights are reserved.

You may view, download for caching purposes only, and print pages from the website for your own personal use, subject to the restrictions set out below and elsewhere in these terms and conditions. 

You must not:

(a)      republish material from this website (including republication on another website);

(b)     sell, rent or sub-license material from the website;

Breaches of these Terms and Conditions

Without prejudice to our other rights under these terms and conditions, if you breach these terms and conditions in any way, we may take such action as we deem appropriate to deal with the breach, including suspending your access to the website, prohibiting you from accessing the website, blocking computers using your IP address from accessing the website, contacting your internet service provider to request that they block your access to the website and/or bringing court proceedings against you.

Variation

We may revise these terms and conditions from time-to-time.  Revised terms and conditions will apply to the use of our website from the date of the publication of the revised terms and conditions on our website.  Please check this page regularly to ensure you are familiar with the current version.

Privacy Policy

A1 Digital does not disclose buyers' information to third parties other than for goods delivery purposes. In this case, the third party will not disclose any of the details to any other third party.

Cookies are used on this shopping site to keep track of the contents of your shopping cart, to store delivery addresses if the address book is used and to store your details if you opt to set up an account with us. They are also used after you have logged on as part of that process. You can turn off cookies within your browser by going to 'Tools | Internet Options | Privacy' (in Internet Explorer) and selecting to block cookies. If you turn off cookies, you will be unable to place orders or benefit from the other features that use cookies. Data collected by this site is used to:

  1. Take and fulfil customer orders.
  2. Administer and enhance the site and service.
  3. Only disclose information to third parties for goods delivery purposes.

 Recycling Information

The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive is now UK law.  The legislation aims to make producers pay for the collection, treatment and recovery of waste electrical equipment.  The regulations also mean that suppliers of equipment like high street stores and Internet retailers must allow consumers to return their waste equipment free of charge.

The amount of WEEE we throw away is increasing by around 5% each year, making it the fasting growing waste stream in the UK.

Distributors or new Electrical and Electronic Equipment (EEE) have a part to play in reducing the amount of WEEE going into landfill sites.

A1 Digital are obliged under these regulations to offer our customers free take-back of their WEEE on a like-for-like basis when they buy a new Electrical or Electronic product from us.

For example, if a customer bought a new Technomate TM5402 receiver from us we would accept their old Technomate TM1000 receiver and prevent it going into a landfill site by disposing of it safely.  Customers must return their WEEE item to us within 28 days of purchasing their new item.

Under the WEEE Regulations, all new electrical goods should now be marked with the crossed-out wheeled bin system shown below.
